Top tips for bands from Kerrang! music producer

A top producer from Kerrang radio is coming to Kidderminster, on Tuesday 23 February, to give local bands free advice about how to succeed in the music business.

Emma Scott and other guests are talking about how bands can get their music played on the radio, and the current state of the music scene.

The event has been organised by Kidderminster-based M.A.S records.

It's being held at Kidderminster college, and starts at 1900 GMT.

Insider tips.

Emma Scott will be giving advice on a range of subjects, including:

  • How to get music played on the radio.

  • What radio are looking for in a band or solo artist.

  • What makes an effective press kit.

  • How to set up a successful live event promotion.

  • How to deal with booking agents.

  • How to get support gig

During her time with Kerrang, Emma has developed a reputation for introducing new acts, and is now working with M.A.S to promote monthly showcases at Birmingham's O2 Academy.
